Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged >65 years who lived in the local community and attended the accident and emergency department with a primary diagnosis of a fall.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Cognitive impairment defined as a score of <7 on the abbreviated mental test and with no regular carer.
