Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Year 8 pupils in state secondary schools, where schools, parents and pupils agree to participation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Not provided at time of registration

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in smoking prevalence among the 'high risk' group (experimenters, ex-smokers and less than weekly smokers), change in prevalence in the year group. Smoking prevalence is operationalised as that proportion having smoking in the last 7 days.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Perception of norms regarding adolescent smoking, intention to quit.
