Inclusion criteria: Year 8 pupils in state secondary schools, where schools, parents and pupils agree to participation

Exclusion criteria

Change in smoking prevalence among the 'high risk' group (experimenters, ex-smokers and less than weekly smokers), change in prevalence in the year group. Smoking prevalence is operationalised as that proportion having smoking in the last 7 days.	—
