Removal of silicone oil following treatment of vitreoretinal disorders. Eye Diseases

Interventions

The study should include at least 10 to 20 patients from each center with any period of silicone tamponade after rhegmatogenous retinal detachment repair that are considered for silicone oil removal.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Retinal detachment surgery with silicone oil tamponade with silicone oil emulsification 2. Aged 20-90 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Redetachment of the retina

Quantitative analysis of silicon using an Image J program and an automated computerized program that is currently under development

MeasureTime frame
1. Visual acuity assessed using a Snellen chart on day 1 and after one month. 2. Intraocular pressure measured using pneumotonometry on day 1 and after one month.
