Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged greater than 18 years, either sex 2. Signed written informed consent 3. Prior percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with drugeluting stent implantation and due to stop clopidogrel 12 months after PCI 4. On maintenance dose aspirin 75 mg and clopidogrel 75 mg daily 5. 30 diabetics and 30 nondiabetics

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Aged greater than 85 years 2. On regular nonsteroidal antiinflammatory medication or steroids
