Interventions

A randomized, single-blinded clinical study was performed with a split-mouth design. The selected teeth were prepared for full coverage monolithic zirconia prosthetic restorations and were approximate
(B) to be prepared with burs at their fifth use. Allocation of treatments to the left or right was randomized. Randomization was single-blind and performed with the R package "blockrand" version 1.5.

Inclusion criteria: Adults who need prosthetic restorations

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Smoking 2. Any systemic disease 3. Any sign of pulpal inflammation

Pulp blood flow measured with a laser Doppler signal using a general medical laser Doppler device at four timepoints: at baseline, after the intervention, at 24 hours, and at 7 days.
