Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients attending for fine needle aspiration of the thyroid gland to the Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust will be asked to participate.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who have had a previous fine needle aspiration biopsy.
