Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants must meet all of the following criteria: 1. Age <65 years 2. Massive, irreparable rotator cuff tear of the shoulder involving the supraspinatus, with an intact or repairable subscapularis and infraspinatus muscle, classified as Collin type A, C, or D, as confirmed by preoperative magnetic resonance imaging or during diagnostic arthroscopy 3. Retraction of the supraspinatus tendon to the level of the glenoid, classified as Patte grade 3 4. Mild or no glenohumeral joint arthritis, classified as Hamada grade 1 or 2 5. Fatty infiltration of the rotator cuff classified as Goutallier grade =2 6. Willingness to participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals who meet one or more of the following criteria are not eligible to participate in the study: 1. Inability or unwillingness to follow the protocol procedures 2. Repairable rotator cuff tears of the shoulder 3. Glenohumeral joint arthritis of the shoulder, classified as Hamada grade 4 or 5 4. Fatty infiltration of the rotator cuff classified as Goutallier grade 3 or 4 5. Active or recent infection
