This study is designed as a prospective, observational cohort study including all patients undergoing surgical treatment for trigger finger at a single referral hand surgery centre (Maria Middelares H

Eligibility

Age

18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 and 99 years 2. All consecutive patients receiving surgical treatment for solitary trigger finger release 3. Undergoing surgery at VZW AZ Maria Middelares hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Concomitant surgical procedures in the same hand 2. Symptomatic osteoarthritis of the hand or wrist 3. Symptomatic confounding pathology of elbow or shoulder 4. Pregnancy 5. Dupuytren's disease with symptomatic MCP or PIP contracture 6. Bilateral trigger finger surgery within a 3-month interval 7. Active chemotherapy or malignancy 8. Inability to complete the follow-up questionnaires (language barrier, cognitive impairment, etc.) 9. Revision surgery
