Interventions

Randomised controlled trial. Ankle block before inflation of tourniquet or ankle block after inflation of tourniquet.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing forefoot surgery 2. Aged 18-60years old 3. Able to provide informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Simultaneous iliac crest bone surgery 2. Surgery on the hind foot 3. Patients on long term analgesics for a reason other than foot pain 4. Patients unable to give consent
