Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with acute myocardial infarction presenting within 6 hours who have received aspirin and an accepted thrombolytic drug 2. Aged 21 - 85 years and able to give informed consent 3. Ability to undertake coronary intervention within 12 hours of onset of chest pain 4. All patients to have failed reperfusion 90 minutes from the start of thrombolysis
