Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy male collegiate soccer players aged 18–25 years 2. Currently participating in regular soccer training 3. At least 2 years of systematic soccer training experience 4. Participation in university-level or comparable soccer training or competition 5. Normal or corrected-to-normal vision 6. Able to complete sports vision assessments, visuomotor reaction tests, soccer-specific performance tests, and the full training intervention 7. No lower-limb injury or illness affecting training or testing at the time of enrolment 8. Written informed consent provided before participation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of epilepsy, photosensitive epilepsy, or seizures induced by flickering visual stimuli 2. History of migraine, severe dizziness, vestibular disorder, or marked discomfort during visual flicker exposure 3. Current lower-limb musculoskeletal injury or pain that may affect soccer training, running, change-of-direction performance, or testing 4. Neurological, cardiovascular, or other medical conditions that may affect safe participation in high-intensity soccer-specific training or visuomotor testing 5. Uncorrected visual impairment, clinically diagnosed eye disease, or visual problems that prevent completion of sports vision assessments 6. Participation in other structured visual training, stroboscopic training, or similar perceptual-cognitive training during the study period 7. Inability to complete the intervention, pre-test, or post-test procedures 8. Failure to provide written informed consent

MeasureTime frame
Visuomotor reaction performance measured using the Senaptec Sensory Station and related reaction tasks. The main measures include simple motor time and complex reaction speed. Lower-limb simple reaction time will also be assessed using a lower-limb reaction task requiring participants to respond rapidly to external visual stimuli at Baseline before the intervention and immediately after the 6-week intervention;Soccer-specific reactive agility performance measured using Fitlight-based reactive agility tests. The main measures include with-ball reactive agility time and without-ball reactive agility time. Participants will respond to randomly presented visual light stimuli and complete direction selection, movement initiation, change-of-direction actions, and ball-control or non-ball movement tasks as required. Completion time will be recorded in seconds, with shorter times indicating better performance at Baseline before the intervention and immediately after the 6-week intervention

Measures may include reaction time, eye-hand coordination, depth perception, near-far quickness, perception span, multiple object tracking, dynamic visual acuity, visual clarity, contrast sensitivity, or other available sports vision indicators generated by the Senaptec assessment system at Baseline before the intervention and immediately after the 6-week intervention
