Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Women in the first trimester of pregnancy who do not require a first trimester ultrasound for any other clinical indication.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Women will be excluded if there is a clinical indication for a first trimester ultrasound scan or if they refuse consent. Examples of the former would be if there was vaginal bleeding, uncertainty about viability of the pregnancy or the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy.
