The 20 volunteers are randomly divided into two groups: Alternate day fasting and Caloric restriction. The interventions are employed for four weeks.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. 20-55 years of age 2. BMI > 25 kg/m2 3. Previous sedentary lifestyle 4. Absence of diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases 5. No smoking
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Previously undergone bariatric surgery
