Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: To be included in the retrospective data analysis phase of the project patients must have been admitted to one of the intensive care units included in the PICRAM & MIMIC-III datasets
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with known prior AF 2. Patients (and studies for the scoping review) with evidence of NOAF outside of the intensive care unit
