Inclusion criteria: Adult patients with TA fulfilling the criteria of the American College of Rheumatology

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Clinical remission criteria: absence of new symptoms and normalized erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP)
