Primary

MeasureTime frame
Number and appropriateness of referrals to TIA and anticoagulant clinics. These will be measured from patient information recorded at the referral clinics.—

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Changes in risk factors (smoking status, BMI, blood pressure) and interventions (proportion of patients taking antiplatelet agents, anticoagulants, anti-hypertensives and statins) recorded in primary care records. These will be estimated from a review of general practice records 6 months after referral.—
