Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Families who, within the past year, have had a child placed for adoption from local authority care.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Placed children who have major physical or learning difficulties 2. Placed children not showing sufficient difficulties to warrant the intervention 3. Foster families becoming adopters
