Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18 years or older Ability to read and write Diagnosis of binge-eating spectrum disorders based on SCID-5 interview

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participation in psychological interventions or sessions related to binge eating in the past year Current suicidal ideation, suicide plan or attempt, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, or substance/alcohol use disorders Being scheduled or considered a candidate for bariatric surgery, including gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy History of bariatric surgery, including gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Disordered eating behaviors. Timepoint: Evaluation of outcome variable at the beginning of the study (before the start of the intervention), at the end of the intervention, and 3 months after the end of the intervention. Method of measurement: Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire.

Difficulties in Emotion Regulation. Timepoint: Assessment of outcome variables at baseline (before the intervention), at the end of the intervention, and 3 months after the end of the intervention. Method of measurement: Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS).;Mindful Eating. Timepoint: Assessment of outcome variables at baseline (before the intervention), at the end of the intervention, and 3 months after the end of the intervention. Method of measurement: Mindful Eating Questionnaire (MEQ).;Cognitive flexibility.
