Conditions

Esophageal burns due to consumption of corrosive substances in childhood. Toxic effects of corrosive alkalis and alkali-like substances

Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: methylprednisolone (1g/1.73m2/day)for 3day. Intervention 2: Control group: Do not receive Methylprednisolone.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children who developed caustic burns of the esophagus with alkaline substances Endoscopy grade 2B

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Caustic burns grade IIa, III, I

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Percentage of people with esophageal burns from caustic alkalis. Timepoint: Endoscopic evaluation at the beginning of the study and at the end of the third week. Method of measurement: Endoscopy.
