Inclusion criteria: "PICU admission" " Mechanical ventilation for more than 48 h"
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: "Primary or secondary immune deficiency" "Acute severe pancreatitis" "Significant gastro intestinal tract injuries(ileus, bleeding,...) "No Probiotics in the past 2 weeks" "Increased risk of endovascular infections (artificial heart valve, intravenous graft, Heart trauma, history of rheumatic fever)" "Tracheostomy" "Expected extubation less than 48 hours"

| Incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP). Timepoint: Check for pneumonia at the time of intubation and then daily until extubation.
