Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| MMP2 (rs3918242) gene expression. Timepoint: Before the intervention (baseline). 48 hours after the last training session (end of week 12). Method of measurement: RNA extraction from peripheral blood lymphocytes, cDNA synthesis, then measurement by Real-time PCR using SYBR Green method. Data are normalized to GAPDH reference gene using the ??Ct method.;MMP9 (rs2285053) gene expression. Timepoint: Before the intervention (baseline). 48 hours after the last training session (end of week 12). Method of measurement: RNA extraction from peripheral blood lymphocytes, cDNA synthesis, then measurement by Real-time PCR using SYBR Green method. Data are normalized to GAPDH reference gene using the ??Ct method.;COL1A1 gene expression. Timepoint: Before the intervention (baseline). 48 hours after the last training session (end of week 12). Method of measurement: RNA extraction from peripheral blood lymphocytes, cDNA synthesis, then measurement by Real-time PCR using SYBR Green method. Data are normalized to GAPDH reference gene using the ??Ct method.;Serum creatine kinase (CK) level. Timepoint: Before the intervention (baseline). 48 hours after the last training session (end of week 12). Method of measurement: Blood sampling from antecubital vein, serum separation, then measurement by ELISA (Human CK ELISA Kit) with optical density reading at 450 nm wavelength.;Serum interleukin-6 (IL-6) level. Timepoint: Before the intervention (baseline). 48 hours after the last training session (end of week 12). Method of measurement: Blood sampling from antecubital vein, serum separation, then measurement by ELISA (Human IL-6 Quantikine ELISA Kit) with optical density reading at 450 nm wavelength.;Serum C-reactive protein (CRP) level. Timepoint: Before the intervention (baseline). 48 hours after the last training session (end of week 12). Method of measurement: Blood sampling from antecubital vein, serum separation, then measurement by ELISA (Human CRP ELISA Kit) with optical density readin | — |
