Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 7 and 11 years at the time of participation Clinical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder according to DSM-5 criteria confirmed by a qualified psychiatrist (for the autism group) Typical development with no history of diagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders (for the control group) Written informed consent obtained from the parents or legal guardians Ability to participate in laboratory assessments and perform the attention and balance tests

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Uncorrected visual or hearing impairments that could affect task performance Musculoskeletal disorders or motor impairments that interfere with balance assessment Use of medications affecting the central nervous system or balance at the time of testing Severe cognitive or behavioral difficulties that prevent valid completion of assessments Presence of other neurological or psychiatric disorders in addition to Autism Spectrum Disorder

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Postural sway entropy of the center of pressure during dual-task standing, measured using a force platform. Timepoint: Single measurement during the assessment session while performing the standing dual-task balance test. Method of measurement: Force platform device used to record center of pressure fluctuations during standing and calculate postural sway entropy.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Alerting attention network efficiency measured using the computerized child attention network test. Timepoint: Measured during three consecutive assessment sessions, once per session, simultaneously with performance of the cognitive task during standing. Method of measurement: Computerized child attention network test for assessing alerting attention network efficiency.;Orienting attention network efficiency measured using the computerized child attention network test. Timepoint: Measured during three consecutive assessment sessions, once per session, simultaneously with performance of the cognitive task during standing.
