Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: inclusion criteria include : age of 60 years to 80 years , definite diagnosis of type 2 diabetes based on medical records or approval of center physician , ability to read and write simple texts ( to understand the educational cards ) , having a natural cognitive status on the basis of short assessment of mental state ( mmse 24 ) , willingness to participate in research and signing informed consent .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: exclusion criteria include : moderate to severe cognitive impairment or psychological disorder that impede the understanding of instruction or participation in training sessions , developing acute or chronic illnesses , or being hospitalized throughout the study , severe visual impairment , or hearing loss that allows participation in team activities ?the unwillingness to continue the at each stage of the study and the incomplete completion of the test and the test with incomplete criteria will be more than 20 percent .

Self - efficacy is a concept of bandura ( 1977 ) that refers to the individual 's belief in his ability to successfully perform the behaviors required to manage a particular situation . self - efficacy is an important factor in the formation of self - care behaviors , decision making and stability in chronic disease management , especially in diabetes . in this research , the self - efficacy questionnaire of type 2 diabetes ( ???? et al . , 2016 ) is measured which includes 20 questions with likert scale of 0 - 10 . the total score ranged from 0 to 200 and the higher score indicates more self - efficacy . before and after the intervention , the effectiveness of intervention on self - efficacy is considered . Timepoint: before and immediately after the last game session. Method of measurement: in this study , self - efficacy is measured through self - efficacy questionnaire of type 2 diabetes ( Diabetes Self-Efficacy Scale (DSES) – Fapa et al . , 2016 ) which includes 20 questions with likert scale of 0 - 10 . the total score ranged from 0 to 200 and the higher score indicates more self - efficacy . before and after the intervention , the effectiveness of intervention on self - efficacy is considered .
