Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with carpal tunnel syndrome who have not responded positively to conservative and pharmacological treatments and undergo compartment tunnel release surgery at Logman Hakim Center within one year. All patients have been carefully physically examined based on the diagnostic criteria for carpal tunnel syndrome. Diagnostic criteria are consistent with the correct diagnosis and exclusion of other causes. They include pain (especially nocturnal pain), numbness, and tingling in the fingers innervated by the median nerve, as well as positive Phalen and Tinnel tests. In addition, electrodiagnostic studies are performed in all patients.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -History of trauma to the wrist or median nerve History of previous surgery in the wrist area Severe atrophy of the thenar muscles of the hand
