Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients 18 years or older with any type of acute heart failure with a serum albumin level less than 3.5 mg/dl are standard candidates for diuretics

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with nephritic syndrome Patients with liver cirrhosis Patients with congenital abnormalities of amino acid metabolism Patients with severe ventricular arrhythmia Patients with mechanical ventilation Patients with severe infection

MeasureTime frame
Clinical signs. Timepoint: Two weeks and four weeks after hospitalization. Method of measurement: Right-sided heart failure symptoms: Elevated jugular venous pressure (>8 cm), jugular venous reflux, hepatomegaly, and bilateral lower-extremity edema. Left-sided heart failure symptoms: Dyspnea, dyspnea on exertion, orthopnea, third heart sound (S3), pulmonary rales, and paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (PND).;Echocardiographic variables. Timepoint: Two weeks and four weeks after hospitalization. Method of measurement: Right-sided heart findings: Inferior vena cava (IVC) collapse greater than 50% and inspiratory IVC diameter less than 21 mm. Left-sided heart findings: Mitral inflow E-wave velocity >50, lateral E/e’ ratio >12, deceleration time <130 ms, and pulmonary vein S/D ratio <1.
