Intervention group: Fractured jaw patients that will receive eric arch bar as treatment.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1- Patient be between 18 to 60 years old. 2- Patient must have of a systemic rating of ASA 1 or ASA2 or ASA3. 3- Patient with unilateral or bilateral fracture that is treated with closed or open technique. patient must have at least 6 teeth in each quadrant with favorable periodontal prognosis gingival pocket should be no more than 5 mm in depth

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients with crowded teeth patients with complex dentoalveolar or midface fractures patients with poor oral hygiene

MeasureTime frame
Clinical attachment loss under the influence of treatment with arch bar. Timepoint: Measuring will be done before putting the arch bar on the patient, right after taking off the appliance and 2 month after taking off the arch bar. Method of measurement: Pocket depth is measured by Williams probe and the change in depth between the 3 consecutive measuring is analyzed.;Measuring the amount of gingival recession caused by the arch bar used for treating fractured jaw. Timepoint: Measuring will be done before putting the arch bar on the patient, right after taking off the appliance and 2 month after taking off the arch bar. Method of measurement: Distance of sulcular gingiva and coronal reference is measured by Williams probe and the change of this distance between the 3 consecutive measuring is analyzed.
