Intervention 1: Intervention group: Vitamin C (500 mg in 50 ml of normal saline) and vitamin E (100 international units in 50 ml of emulsion) intravenously daily and dexamethasone 0.2 mg/kg body weigh

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Having a major lung contaminant and confirming it with a radiograph or CT scan TTSS score above 7

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Penetrating trauma receiving oral or inhaled corticosteroids two weeks before study entry need for major emergency surgical interventions such as brain, abdominal, and major orthopedic surgery (hip, femur fractures) patients with opiate addiction chronic obstructive pulmonary disease asthma pulmonary edema thromboembolic effects in long bone fractures pneumonia respiratory distress syndrome known diabetes

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Final Outcome (Death/Discharge). Timepoint: End of 7th day after the intervention initiation. Method of measurement: Final status of patient will be evaluated.
