Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The couple must reside in Tehran One or both of the couple must have been diagnosed with heart disease or a heart attack They have been living together for 2 years or more The patient's spouse must also be willing to participate in the program

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Couples receiving psychological therapy, either individually, as a couple, or in a group Presence of psychological disorders (e.g., being in an acute phase of depression or mania) that significantly affected effective participation in the group and group dynamics Use of psychiatric medications or psychotherapeutic interventions at the same time as the program or three months before the start of the study Couples in whose relationship there is active violence, whether behavioral or verbal Couples involved in addiction and drugs

Marital stress score of couples with heart disease based on the Stockholm Marital Stress Questionnaire. Timepoint: Measuring marital stress before the intervention, after the intervention (after 56 days), and 90 days after the intervention. Method of measurement: Stockholm Marital Stress Questionnaire by Orth Gomer et al. in 2000.;Self-care behaviors score of couples with heart patients based on the Heart Patients Self-care Behaviors Questionnaire. Timepoint: Measuring the level of self-care behaviors before the intervention, after the intervention (after 56 days), and 90 days after the intervention. Method of measurement: Self-care behaviors questionnaire for people with heart disease by Jaarsma et al. in 2003.;Family support score of couples with heart disease based on the social support questionnaire in the family scale. Timepoint: Measuring the level of family support before the intervention, after the intervention (after 56 days), and 90 days after the intervention. Method of measurement: Social Support Questionnaire on the Family Scale by Pracidano and Heller in 1983.
