Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients referred to the radiotherapy department of Namazi Hospital and the oncology clinic of Motahari Clinic Definitive diagnosis of colorectal cancer in the rectal area with appendages and staging T=3 or lymph node involvement Age 18 to 70 years

Exclusion criteria: History of metformin use Having metabolic diseases Acute cardiovascular diseases Diabetes Liver and kidney diseases Acidosis and pregnancy

Increase in radio-sensitivity. Timepoint: The effect of using metformin in radiotherapy will be measured at the end of treatment. Method of measurement: The variable is measured by measuring biomarkers and tumor size before and after treatment.;Reduce in tumor size.
