Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age range between 17 and 21 years Apparently healthy individuals with no known medical conditions, physical or mental illnesses, or a history of neurological or psychiatric disorders that could affect physical or cognitive performance. Players who regularly participate in training sessions during the study period and have engaged in continuous training for at least the past six months. No use of any medications, dietary supplements, or ergogenic aids that could potentially affect the study outcomes. No known allergy or hypersensitivity to Rhodiola rosea. Non-smokers with no alcohol consumption. Participants who do not regularly use Rhodiola rosea supplements, or who have abstained from Rhodiola rosea consumption for at least 48 hours prior to the testing sessions. Participants must have provided written informed consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria: Age below 17 years or above 21 years. Presence of any diagnosed medical condition or physical or mental illness that could affect physical or cognitive performance. History of neurological or psychiatric disorders. Use of any medications, dietary supplements, or ergogenic aids that could potentially influence the study outcomes. Known allergy or hypersensitivity to Rhodiola rosea. Smoking or alcohol consumption. Regular use of Rhodiola rosea supplements or failure to observe a 48-hour abstinence period prior to testing sessions. Irregular participation in training sessions or lack of continuous training during the previous six months. Failure to provide written informed consent prior to participation.

| Cognitive Performance: Cognitive performance refers to the mental ability to process information, selective attention, inhibition of incompatible responses, and speed of decision-making. This variable reflects brain efficiency in situations requiring cognitive control and overcoming information interference. Timepoint: Measurements of the study variables were conducted at two time points: before supplement intake and immediately after the small-sided games. Method of measurement: Cognitive performance was assessed using the Stroop Color and Word Test. This test consists of three sections (reading color words, naming the ink color, and the interference section) and measures inhibitory control, selective attention, and information processing speed. The cognitive performance score was calculated based on the time to complete the interference section (in seconds) and the number of errors in the interference section. Shorter time and fewer errors indicate better cognitive performance.;BDNF:Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), which plays a key role in neuronal growth, survival, and plasticity, and is associated with cognitive performance and learning. Timepoint: BDNF measurement was performed at two time points: before ingestion of the supplement or placebo and after the small-sided games.
