Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Having bipolar disorder for at least 6 months Patients with bipolar disorder undergoing electroconvulsive therapy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Having kidney disease Having epilepsy Having a digestive system disorder Mental retardation Cognitive disorders such as delirium and dementia No history of memantine use in the 3 months prior to study entry. Presence of electrolyte disturbances

MeasureTime frame
Cognitive ability. Timepoint: Patients with bipolar disorder who have been treated with electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) are assessed using the Eden Brook Cognitive Screening Test 24 hours before receiving the first ECT session, 24 hours after the sixth ECT session, and also one month after completing the ECT sessions. Method of measurement: Addenbrooke's Cognitive Test.
