Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Official, contractual or temporary employee in the staff units of FARAJA Headquarters Age over 30 years Body Mass Index (BMI) = 30 kg/m² or waist circumference = 94 cm (men) / = 80 cm (women) Active participation in the annual FARAJA health screening program with complete baseline data Medical clearance for exercise by the trusted physician of FARAJA Medical Department Ability to attend training sessions at FARAJA Headquarters (Tehran) 8. Signing the written informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Severe cardiovascular disease (recent myocardial infarction, unstable angina, heart failure class III–IV) Uncontrolled type 2 diabetes (HbA1c > 10%) or recurrent hypoglycemia Advanced kidney disease (eGFR 3× upper limit of normal) Musculoskeletal or orthopedic conditions preventing moderate-to-vigorous physical activity Use of metabolism-affecting drugs (systemic corticosteroids, beta-blockers, certain psychiatric medications) without approval of the trusted physician Pregnancy or intention to become pregnant within the next 6 months (in women) Inability to regularly attend training sessions at FARAJA Headquarters

MeasureTime frame
Metabolic Syndrome. Timepoint: At baseline (before intervention initiation) and 12 weeks after the start of the novel exercise and nutritional intervention. Method of measurement: Includes: Measurement of Waist Circumference (in centimeters) using a measuring tape, Systolic and Diastolic Blood Pressure (in millimeters of mercury) using a standard sphygmomanometer, and laboratory measurement of Triglycerides (in milligrams per deciliter), High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL) (in milligrams per deciliter), and Fasting Blood Sugar (in milligrams per deciliter) according to the NCEP ATP III criteria.

Body Fat Percentage. Timepoint: At baseline (before intervention initiation) and 12 weeks after the start of the novel exercise and nutritional intervention. Method of measurement: Body Composition Analyzer Device (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis device).
