Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Adults aged 18-65• Ejection fraction (EF) less than 50• Chronic hemodialysis for at least 3 months• No omega-3 supplements (fish oil or flaxseed) for at least 8 weeks• No dietary or medication changes for the past 4 weeks• Stable hyperlipidemia on stable medication for the past 3 months• Willingness to cooperate with study procedures
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Severe liver failure and/or other active systemic diseases such as: rheumatoid arthritis• Known cardiac arrhythmia such as permanent or paroxysmal atrial fibrillation• Use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or corticosteroids• Allergy or sensitivity to the contents of supplements (e.g., fish oil capsules or flaxseed)• Pregnant or lactating women• Life expectancy less than 3 months• History of organ transplantation• Presence of severe uncontrolled dyslipidemia (e.g., triglycerides > 400 or LDL > 190 mg/dL)• Recent change in lipid medication (within the last 3 months)• Regular intake of fish oil or flaxseed in the diet within the last 6 months
