Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Clinical diagnosis of melasma confirmed by a dermatologist Age = 18 years Willingness to participate and comply with study procedures• Provision of written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy or lactation at baseline or during the study period Development of new active skin diseases in the treatment area that may interfere with outcome assessment Poor compliance with the study protocol (irregular medication use or missed follow-up visits) Occurrence of intolerable or serious adverse events related to the study medications Diagnosis of new underlying systemic diseases during the study that could affect melasma or treatment response

| Change in melasma severity assessed by the Melasma Area and Severity Index (MASI). Timepoint: Assessments will be performed at baseline (before treatment initiation) and at weeks 4, 8, and 12 during the intervention period. Method of measurement: Melasma severity is assessed separately for each half of the face by a dermatologist. Standardized facial photography and dermoscopic examination are used to evaluate melasma lesions. Wood’s lamp examination is also performed to determine melasma type (epidermal or dermal). | — |
