Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Willingness of the patient's family to participate in the study Age over 18 years No known neurological or psychiatric illness Attendance of a companion during the first shift after the patient is admitted to the angiography department

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Family withdrawal from continued participation Transferring the patient to another medical center Discharge with personal consent Change of primary caregiver during the study The occurrence of critical events such as the urgent need for surgery or the death of the patient

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The anxiety of families of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) transformed from the emergency department to angiography. Timepoint: Once before the intervention (after registering the patient's transfer order) and the second time 6 hours after the patient's admission to the angiography department. In the intervention group, the patient's companion will be supported by a nurse liaison, and in the control group, only routine care will be received. Family demographic information will also be recorded at the beginning of the study. Method of measurement: It is a common measure for measuring anxiety that was developed by Spielberger in 1970. This questionnaire contains 40 questions, 20 of which are dedicated to situational anxiety and 20 to personality anxiety.

Previous experience accompanying a patient who can be transferred to angiography. Timepoint: Before intervention in both experimental and control groups. Method of measurement: By a questionnaire designed by the researcher.
