18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients 18 to 70 years old Diagnosis of thyroid nodules (benign or with indeterminate cytology) Thyroid nodule =1 cm on ultrasound Normal or slightly elevated TSH levels (0.4-4.5 mIU/L) Not taking medications that affect the thyroid (levothyroxine, methimazole, etc.) in the past 3 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of thyroid cancer or malignancy on biopsy, evere acute or chronic diseases (liver/kidney failure, advanced autoimmune diseases, heart, lung) use of selenium supplements or antioxidants in the past 3 months pregnancy or breastfeeding sensitivity to selenium supplements or compounds containing it

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in nodule size. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study and 4 months after starting selenium intake. Method of measurement: Ultrasound.
