Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Female sex and confirmed diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis based on 2017 McDonald criteria by a neurologist Relapsing Remitting type (RRMS) of disease Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score less than 4.5 No acute relapse of disease during the last three months Ability to perform home-based aerobic and resistance exercises Age between 20 and 40 years No cardiovascular metabolic psychological or orthopedic disorders No prior history of olive oil supplementation or home exercise during the last month Willingness and written informed consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy or breastfeeding at study entry Concurrent neurological or autoimmune disorders Use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory or corticosteroid drugs during the last three months Cardiovascular pulmonary or renal diseases preventing exercise performance Cognitive or language impairment interfering with exercise execution Known allergy or hypersensitivity to olive oil Lack of willingness or withdrawal before randomization

MeasureTime frame
Serum Interleukin-6 concentration as the primary inflammatory biomarker to evaluate the effect of combined aerobic-resistance exercise and olive oil supplementation in women with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. Timepoint: Measurement at baseline (before the start of intervention) and at the end of the eight-week intervention period. Method of measurement: Serum Interleukin-6 concentration will be measured by human enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit using standardized laboratory procedures according to the manufacturer’s instructions.;Overall quality of life score assessed by the World Health Organization Quality of Life questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF short form) to determine the effect of the interventions on the quality of life of women with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. Timepoint: Assessment at baseline (before the start of intervention) and after completion of the eight-week intervention period. Method of measurement: Quality of life will be measured using the validated WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, comprising four domains (physical health, psychological health, social relationships, and environment). The questionnaire will be completed by trained interviewer at the MS center.
