Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| VAS (Visual Analog Scale): A numerical scale from 0 to 10 for the intensity of pain in the masticatory muscles (temporal, master, lateral trigoid and medial trigoid) in the resting and functional state bilaterally and examining the TMJ by touch 2. MMO (Maximum Mouth Opening): The greatest distance the mouth can be opened without pain is measured with a ruler. The normal range of this value is between 40 and 60 mm; values ??below 35 mm indicate limited movement. 3. Protrusion: Measurement of the displacement of the lower jaw forward relative to the upper teeth; the normal value is between 7 and 10 mm. 4. Lateral movements: The displacement of the jaw to the left and right from the midline is measured separately; the normal value is about 7 to 12 mm on each side. Timepoint: Two to three times a week. Method of measurement: Visual analog scale, digital caliper. | — |
