Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Not having systemic disease No simultaneous use of anticoagulants and antiplatelets Age group 18to 50years old Insensitivity to turmeric and its compounds No need for antibiotic prophylaxis No tobacco consumption No use of anti-inflammatory substances for six weeks before and at the time of examination No periodontal treatment for six months No pregnancy No breastfeeding

MeasureTime frame
Gingival index. Timepoint: Day 0 and 14. Method of measurement: The gingival index was introduced as a method for assessing the severity and quantity of gingival inflammation. All four gingival surfaces of the tooth (facial, mesial, distal, and lingual) are assessed for inflammation (a score of zero for normal gingiva and a score of 3 for severely inflamed and spontaneously bleeding gingiva). Mildly inflamed gingiva without bleeding on probing is given a score of one, and moderately inflamed and bleeding gingiva is given a score of two. The average scores are then calculated for each patient.;Plaque index. Timepoint: Day 0 and 14. Method of measurement: The plaque index is qualitatively assessed based on the amount of microbial plaque observed on the teeth.;Bleeding on probing. Timepoint: Day 0 and 14. Method of measurement: Bleeding from the base of the pocket is measured and indicates that active, progressive disease may be present.;Pocket depth. Timepoint: Day 0 and 14. Method of measurement: To measure a periodontal pocket a periodontal probe is used which is scaled. The probe allows to measure from the top of the pocket to the bottom of the pocket. The bottom of the pocket is the area where the tissue is connected through ligaments to the tooth's root.
