Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Newborns with the gestational age of 34 weeks and above requiring positive pressure ventilation following the initial steps of newborn care at birth No evidence of congenital heart disease No evidence of congenital diaphragmatic hernia No evidence of any major congenital anomalies Parental consent to participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Evidence of any anomaly of the nose, mouth, chin, and jaw Evidence of clinical signs that suggest congenital diaphragmatic hernia or esophageal atresia No evidence of electric activity in the heart
