Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: Patients in the intervention group will undergo total knee arthroplasty (TKA) under spinal anesthesia and will receive repeated intravenous injections of diazepam d
they will receive standard spinal anesthesia care without additional sedative intervention.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Indication for total knee arthroplasty (TKA) Muscle strength grade 3 or higher Willingness to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Heart failure Renal failure Myasthenia gravis History of CVA Peptic ulcer Recent MI

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Postoperative pain and knee joint range of motion after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Timepoint: At 1 day, 3 days, and 1 week after surgery. Method of measurement: Pain will be assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Range of motion: evaluation of the maximum joint movement achieved by the patient at the time of reaching full possible motion. Timepoint: At the time when the patient reaches the maximum possible range of motion. Method of measurement: Maximum joint range of motion will be measured using a goniometer when the patient reaches the maximum possible movement.
