Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Physically active females (based on the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form) No exposure to altitude above 2000 m in the past two months No blood donation within the past two months
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: presence of acute or chronic cardiovascular or orthopedic conditions irregular menstrual cycle smoking, drug or alcohol use taking contraceptive pills, and pregnancy
