Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: willingness to participate in the study age over 60 years literacy in reading and writing diagnosis of type 2 diabetes for at least six months absence of a history of conditions such as stroke, myocardial infarction, malignant tumors, speech and hearing disorders, psychological disorders, and diabetes-related complications no prior receipt of specific education regarding diabetes self-care other than the routine and ongoing education and care provided by the clinic self-care score of less than 68 on the Toobert Diabetes Self-Care Questionnaire
