Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult (18 years or older) Bilateral diffuse diabetic retinopathy without vitreous hemorrhage Need for new or additional bilateral diffuse laser treatment There is no history of sensitivity or intolerance to ketorolac tromethamine or hydroxypropyl methylcellulose Willingness to participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy or breastfeeding Active keratitis or corneal disease Any systemic conditions that may affect the study Previous scattered laser treatment in the last 2 weeks Use of any topical or systemic medication that may affect pain perception

| Pain intensity immediately after panretinal photocoagulation. Timepoint: Pain intensity will be measured immediately after panretinal photocoagulation in both eyes. Method of measurement: Pain will be measured using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS); a 10-cm line where 0 indicates “no pain” and 10 indicates “worst imaginable pain”. | — |
