Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Hypertensive patients who are undergoing drug treatment Mild (systolic blood pressure 140 to 159 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure 90 to 99 mmHg) to moderate (systolic blood pressure 160 to 179 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure 100 to 109 mmHg) resting blood pressure Body mass index between 26 and 29 Have not engaged in regular physical activity for at least the past three months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Acute and chronic diseases Smoking Alcohol consumption Taking certain medications (such as probiotic pills, anti-inflammatory agents, glucocorticoids, other immunomodulating drugs) surgery Lactose intolerance Malabsorption disorders Living with a dog or cat Antibiotic treatment in the previous two months Prebiotic Vegetarianism

MeasureTime frame
Gut microbiome. Timepoint: Stool samples will be taken to measure the gut microbiome before the intervention begins and 48 hours after the last intervention session. Method of measurement: Real time PCR.
