Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18-85 Have undergone open surgery using the mesh (Lichtenstein) method

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Incarcerated hernia, strangulated hernia Underlying diseases: cancer, kidney disease, rheumatism

MeasureTime frame
Pain intensity after surgery. Timepoint: First session: immediately after surgery and second session: up to 14 days after surgery. Method of measurement: Using the Visual Analogue Scale - VAS.;Surgical Site Infection. Timepoint: Up to 14 days after surgery. Method of measurement: It is completed in a questionnaire by the attending physician using a history and clinical examination.

MeasureTime frame
Hematoma size. Timepoint: 14 days after surgery. Method of measurement: It is completed in a questionnaire by the attending physician using a history and clinical examination.;Seroma formation. Timepoint: 14 days after surgery. Method of measurement: It is completed in a questionnaire by the attending physician using a history and clinical examination.;Routine tests and hematology and inflammatory tests including IL-6, CRP, ESR. Timepoint: First round: immediately after surgery and second round: up to 14 days after surgery. Method of measurement: Labarotary.
