Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: pregnant women who have been newly diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women without gestational diabetes Severe depression Severe cardiovascular diseases Liver and kidney diseases Insufficient literacy or ability to understand and follow protocol Drug dependence or drug abuse

Fasting blood sugar measurement. Timepoint: Fasting blood sugar measurements twice, one week apart, after starting a high-protein meal. Method of measurement: Blood test.;2 hour Post Prandial (2hpp) measurement. Timepoint: 2 hour Post Prandial measurements twice, one week apart, after starting a high-protein meal. Method of measurement: Blood test.;Fasting insulin measurement. Timepoint: Fasting insulin measurements twice, one week apart, after starting a high-protein meal. Method of measurement: Blood test.
