Interventions

Intervention 1: Participants will perform 8 sessions of guided mindfulness exercises with bird songs, 15–20 minutes daily, delivered as an audio file. The first session is face-to-face in the hospital
remaining sessions are at home. Intervention 2: Control group: Participants will receive routine care. Follow-up is done via telephone.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria Patients who have been hospitalized in the CCU due to cardiac disease and are being discharged. Patients who are able to perform guided mindfulness exercises using bird sounds Having an anxiety and depression score of 8 or above. No history of opioid or alcohol use. No history of traumatic events in the past six months. No history of chronic psychiatric disorders.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Lack of consent to continue participation in the study. Failure to perform more than three exercise sessions.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Anxiety and depression scores measured by the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). Timepoint: Baseline (before the intervention)- Immediately after the intervention- One month post-intervention. Method of measurement: Using Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Persistence of changes in anxiety and depression at one-month follow-up. Timepoint: Baseline (before the intervention)- Immediately after the intervention- One month post-intervention. Method of measurement: Using Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).
