Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Based on the parents' report, the child is monolingual and speaks Persian. The child has normal hearing. Based on the Persian phonological and articulation diagnostic test, the child has a consistent phonological disorder or phonological delay. Based on the Persian version of the Language Development Test, Third Edition, the child has a language disorder. Based on the two mentioned tests, the child has a simultaneous disorder in both aspects (phonology and grammar). The parents have signed the consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Lack of cooperation and willingness from the child or their family during treatment. Based on the Persian phonological and articulation diagnostic test, the child is suspected of having childhood apraxia of speech. Based on the Persian phonological and articulation screening diagnostic test, the child has an inconsistent phonological disorder. Based on the Persian phonological and articulation diagnostic test, the severity of the child's phonological disorder is "mild." Based on the evaluation by the therapist and the diagnosis by the child psychiatrist, the child has another accompanying disorder such as autism or neurological disorders like cerebral palsy or dysarthria. Based on the interview with the parents, information obtained from the demographic registration form, and the therapist's evaluation, the child's speech sound disorder has a known origin (such as cleft palate or sensory disorders).
