Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Couples with emotional divorce: Diagnosing emotional divorce based on specific criteria Referral to counseling centers: Referrals to counseling centers in Ahvaz city Participation consent: Couples' willingness and consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The presence of severe mental disorders in one of the couples that require immediate treatment A history of serious domestic violence in the couple Drug or alcohol addiction in one of the partners Simultaneous participation in another couples therapy program

Controlling emotions. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (before the intervention began) and two months later (when the intervention ended). Method of measurement: Emotional Control Questionnaire, Williams et al., 1997.
